Hyderabad, Jan 13, 2025 – Many trains have been cancelled today due to insufficient ticket bookings during the Sankranti festival season, causing disruption in the return journeys. This cancellation is a result of poor planning by the South Central Railway, as special trains were announced without taking into account the actual passenger demand and the consecutive holidays.
The situation has led to considerable inconvenience for travelers, especially those trying to return home from Hyderabad, with trains from various parts of Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad being cancelled.
The South Central Railway has announced cancellations due to low advance ticket bookings and limited passenger traffic. Affected trains include:
- Kakinada Town-Cherlapalli (07032) – Cancelled on January 13
- Machilipatnam-Tirupati (07122) – Cancelled on January 13
- Cherlapalli-Kakinada Town (07031) – Cancelled on January 14
- Solapur-Tirupati (01437) – Cancelled on January 16
- Tirupati-Solapur (01438) – Cancelled on January 17
- Guntur-Kollam (07181) – Cancelled on January 18
- Kollam-Guntur (07182) – Cancelled on January 20
